The 2012 Barry Sheene Festival of Speed at Eastern Creek is now only 4 days away. Race days are Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March 2012. We'll be there again this year, racing the Trojan Triton (No.11) in the Pre '63 Unlimited Class.
2012 will be our third year competing in this race and we are looking to improve on our 3rd placing (overall) in 2011. A number of areas to enhance the performance of our machine were identified during last year's racing and we have been busy making changes to get the bike nicely set up for race weekend.

The bike has benefitted from extra attention to the front suspension and front brake operation. Crankcase pressure has been addressed with a revised breather system. We wanted to treat the bike to a new pair of Amal Mk2 Alcohol carbs but as these are in short supply globally, the originals have been modified and rebuilt instead.
Having Neil's (our new mechanic) extra pair of hands to prep the bike has really helped and we're looking forward to race day. The Festival is a great weekend with heaps of racing, a show and shine and trade displays. There will be plenty of Trans Tasman rivalry as this meeting includes the 2nd Trans Tasman Challenge which the Kiwis won by 1 point in 2011. Great racing is guaranteed.
Come and say hello to us at the Trojan Classic Motorcycles trade stand where we will be displaying custom motorcycles, parts and memorabilia. You will also have access to the pit area, where you can view the Trojan Triton plus many other classic and competition motorcycles.
